Pre Nursery to KG Grades

1. Shapes in a rocket craft2. Star & Night reading
Shapes in a rocket
Child/ parent will cut this shapes and create a rocket (squares for body, rectangles for its legs, triangle for its wings and its front and back part, circle for its window.)
Stars, night and reading
Read a book with your child at night.
Be under a blanket, under the stars/ sky/ moon/ night visible at the back.
3. Rocket launch fun4. Moon Dance
Child as rocket launch
Child will pretend to be a space shuttle or rocket. The child squat on the floor and count backwards(10/20 to 1) to blastoff. Everyone jumps up as high as they can. (Rocket launch video)


Children listen to slow music and pretend were on the moon, moving in slow motion. – they can also dance on nursery rhyme – zoom zoom, we are going to the moon
5. Moon Snack6. Space Counting worksheet
Moon Snack
Children spread peanut butter/ jam on the marie biscuit and sprinkle some corn flakes and put 1-2 banana slide so that cookie looks like a moon surface.

Grades 1 to 2

1. Constellation Projector2. Star & Night reading
Constellation projector
Take a color paper towel tube with markers and cover the end with a circle of black paper. Attach it with a rubber band, and poke holes in the paper with a toothpick. When this is held up to the light it looks like stars are shining through.(Watch video)

3. I am a planet4. Asteroids Field
I am planet earth
Draw your favourite planet on a sheet and wear it on your head or on body and will speak about that planet.
Dodging the asteroid
Place objects (asteroids), such as toys into the playing area (outer space). Blindfold the child and let him/her walk. Guide them about danger whenever they are near to the toys. Children have to imagine that they have to save themselves from asteroids.

I am planet earth
Draw your favourite planet and will speak 4-5 amazing facts about it.
Festivals by moon
Make a list of all festivals that happen based on moons position. Write in brief about any one festival.

Snack on the moon
Get Oreo cookies and open it up. Then eat them in a manner of moon phases.
